Lagaan which means taxation in English is a historical epic sports drama movie. Which is written and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced by Aamir Khan.

The cast includes Aamir Khan along with a debutante Gracy Sing, with British actors Paul Blackthorne and Rachel Shelley in supporting roles.

The movie is made with a budget of Rs 250 Million, which is $ 5.32 Million. And got released in the year 2001. This movie is shot at an ancient and former village near Bhuj in India.

The movie took us to a very early age time period, when India is in the control of Britishers.

This story revolves around a village under the British Raj with high taxes and extraordinary conditions.

Mughal-e-Azam is an Indian epic historical drama film produced by Shapoorji Pallonji and directed by K. Asif. With a very popular star in the cast including Prithviraj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar, Madhubala and Durga Khote.

This movie is all about the love story of Salim (afterwards who became emperor Jahangir) son of Akbar and his court dancer Anarkali.

Salim’s father, Akbar disapproved this relationship which started a war between a father and his son.

The development of Mughal-e-Azam has been started from 1944 but due to some issues it delayed. And in around 1950s the filming of the movie started again, but due to financial issues the makers had to change the whole cast of the movie.

Mughal-e-Azam is with a huge budget that any other movie don’t have till that time.

The songs were inspired by Indian classical and folk music, consist of 12 songs which were sung by playback singers, including Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar and classical singer Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.

The movie is released on 5th August 1960 and also had the widest release of any Indian film up to that time. The movie broke all the records and became the highest grossing Indian film and held on that position for 15 years.

The accolades awarded to the film include one National Film Award and three Filmfare Awards at the 8th Filmfare Awards. Mughal-e-Azam is the first ever Hindi movie to convert from Black and White to coloured digitally and the first in any languages to get re-released in the theaters.

The coloured version of the movie is released in November 2003 and generate a good amount of income.

The Legend of Bhagat Singh is an Indian historical, biographical film, released in the year 2002. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Kumar Taurani and Ramesh Taurani.

This movie is about Bhagat Singh, one of the most popular freedom fighter of India, who fought for India with his fellow members of the Hindustan Republic Association.

Black Friday is an Indian Documentary, Drama movie directed and written by Anurag Kashyap. The movie is about 1993 Bombay Blast based on a book “Black Friday: The Trues Story of the Bombay Bomb Blast” written by Hussain Zaidi.

The movie was about the bomb blast in Bombay, which conditions lead to a bomb blast and the police investigation after the blast.

The movie is actually based on an epic poem “Padmavat” written by Malik Muhammad Jayasi. The story of this movie is based on the life of Padmavati. She is the wife of Maharawal Ratan Singh, who is the ruler of Chittor.

Firstly, this movie is scheduled to be released on 1 December 2017 but due to some issues and violent protests it got infinitely delayed.

But in December, Central Board of Film Certification approved this movie after making few changes in it, which includes the change in title and multiple disclaimers.

And after these changes Padmaavat was rescheduled to be released on 25 January 2018 and is released in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D formats.

By which this movie became the first movie, which got released in the IMAX 3D format.

The movie is made with a budget of Rs 2.15 billion (US$31 million) and being not released in some of the states, this movie grossed over Rs 5.85 billion (US$85 million) and became one of the highest grossing Indian films of all time.

At 64th Filmfare Awards, Padmaavat received a leading 18 nominations, and won four awards, including Best Actor (Critics) for Singh.
